The cap screw is directional and is an one-way threaded nut. It has an anti-loose effect only when it is screwed in the correct direction. The flange nut and flange nut is screwed in the same direction as the standard flange nut.
Assembly torque should be based on bolt performance rating and nut surface treatment status. Phosphate is a common surface treatment for cap screws. The bolt performance rating is 10.9 and the nut is the surface mount for the mounting torque under phosphate conditions. For the mounting torque of other surface treatment and performance grade nuts, we recommend the installation torque for the customer according to the actual working conditions.
Torque calculation: T = KP0d, where T – tightening torque (installation torque), unit: Nm; K – torque factor; P0 – pre-tightening force, unit: KN (pre-tightening force is generally 60-70% of bolt-assured load );d – nominal diameter of thread, unit: mm
The optimum torque, for each specific application, should be obtained through testing. Because of the material, hardness, surface roughness, surface treatment and bolt status of the parts being tightened, the torque factor is affected.
